Wilcenski & Pleat PLLC

is a law firm which concentrates its practice in the areas of special needs estate planning, special needs trust administration, traditional trust and estate administration, long term care planning and elder law.  The firm helps clients navigate issues impacting individuals with disabilities of all ages and across the disability spectrum.

Founding partners Ed Wilcenski and Tara Anne Pleat both have family members with disabilities, and they designed their firm around three core concepts: competence in their chosen areas of practice, credibility among their peers and within the communities they serve, and continuity—clients rest assured that attorneys and staff will be here to provide expertise and service throughout the years ahead.

“We take this practice and the relationships that we build with our clients very seriously. Disability is life long, and unlike many areas of the law, our clients often choose our practice with the hope and expectation that we will be here for a family member with a disability long after the primary caregivers are gone. Every decision we make—from the staff we hire to the professional relationships we build to the location of our office—has been made with the idea of creating an infrastructure that will be here for our clients, for their families, and for their guardians and trustees for years to come.” —Ed Wilcenski

The firm has two offices located near the scenic Adirondack Mountains. The main office is located in southern Saratoga County, just north of Albany.  The second office is located in Queensbury in southern Warren County, just south of Lake George.   While the firm is located in Eastern New York, attorneys and staff work with clients across New York State.
