Karen Satterlee, Paralegal
Karen has more than twenty years’ experience as a paralegal in the areas of federal and state litigation in addition to real estate, estate planning, matrimonial law, family law, and adoptions. She is a graduate of SUNY Potsdam with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy.
After several years in higher education, Karen reentered the classroom (with some of her former students!) and earned a paralegal degree from Schenectady County Community College where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and earned the Paralegal Department Program Medallion.
In September 2015, Karen passed the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam through the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc. and received the Register Paralegal (RP) credential.
Karen volunteers her time at the Will and Uncontested Divorce pro bono clinics offered by The Legal Project. She mentors paralegal students and paralegals new to the field, is a guest speaker for career panels at SCCC, and has served on the Paralegal Department Advisory Committee at SCCC since 2004. Karen is an active member of the Capital District Paralegal Association and has served on its Board of Directors since 2013.
Karen enjoys travel, music, reading and hiking.
