Matthew D. Connell, Assistant Director of Case Management, Wilcenski & Pleat PLLC and Adirondack Case Management & Advocacy LLC

Matt joined our Case Management and Advocacy team in January of 2019. He has more than 12 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities, including 15 years as an educator and as Director for Training and Staff Development at a local nonprofit organization serving the disability community.

Matt studied English Literature at Le Moyne College, earned a Master’s of Science in Childhood Education from the College of Saint Rose, and has dedicated himself to helping and educating people of all ages, abilities, and learning styles. He is certified to teach the NYS Education Curriculum and provide training in First Aid, CPR, AED, and Defensive Driving. He is also qualified as a trainer for the New York State Office of People with Developmental Disabilities Orientation and Recertification Program.

Matt grew up in Niskayuna, New York, traveled and lived all over the world, and then returned to Niskayuna in 2005. He and his wife, their two children, and their pets love the great outdoors, the four seasons, and the people of upstate New York! As a lifelong musician, Matt writes, records, and performs guitar, piano, and vocals in local bands. In what is left of his free time, he loves to hike, fish, and spend time with his family.
